my first attempt but no last i hope :) hopes everything will be clear from photos. Initially saw was with steel folded back? but at the end i decided to make it till the end :)

Looks great. I am sufficiently humbled by your efforts....much nicer than most woodworkers would have done. I love the detail work in the handle....lovely!

thank you. It's walnut. Two coats of danish oil - natural and dark walnut.

Just start doing it and make it steady and everything will be fine.
I know some points to improve in my next attempt :) but main concern will be about teeth. in this saw I use existing TPI set, just resharpen and change geometry for ripping. next one will be made out of shim stock.

Next problem is saw teeth filing. ordered some files and meanwhile decided to make saw vise.

Again, great effort! I really like that saw vice, much nicer then my plywood contraption.

Finally assembled (the middle one). When sharpening added more rake and fleam and a i like it more :)
In the bottom my next reborn :) will change everything exept plate itself.
