i enjoy trying to decipher vanity car tags. Some are very creative but obscure. Saw this today and I can't make sense of it. "7SE7EN7". It was on a late model Corvette so maybe it is some kind of specific car reference? Dunno. SIL opined it might be a geocaching reference whatever that is. Tried substituting letters for the 7's but nothing made sense. Anyone?

I think it is a rock band. Do a google search for 7SE7EN7

Looks like "777" to me. Isn't there a commercial jet called a 777? Could he be a pilot?
(Don't ya love plates like this? We could speculate for days and still not get it right!)

I'd guess 777, as in "lucky". Probably couldn't get 7SEVEN7.

Like above, my first thought was lucky number 7. Could be he likes slot machines "777", or a pilot as said.

There's a band out of California that goes by that name.

I think there is some casino card game that if get three 7's in a row you win a bunch of money. Forget the game but walking through to the restaurants there is a bunch of signs for it. If I remember correctly it is a common card game, but if you happen to get 3 sevens you win big.

We would have bought tools, he bought a car. I'm glad people do, I like to look at corvettes, but they are horrible for hauling lumber.

Thanks, I did not see that the letters with the middle 7 spelled seven. I can stop thinking about it now. Who knows what it's in reference to. Probably considers himself lucky or himself or car perfection.

That's what I was thinking... Was it on a C7 Corvette?

Maybe he is a 777 pilot that won the car playing slots and is a big fan of the band 7se7en7. :D

But one of the most creative is from a local around here that got it past the plate issuers 3MTA3 You will have to 'reflect' on this one.

Years ago I was behind a truck, his plate read: "ATOY"...

When I got in front of him, in my rear view mirror it read: "YOTA" --

Thought that was kinda clever, as it was on a Toyota pickup ;)

Very good, Mike Chance! It's been my nickname since I was very little and I couldn't get MOOSE on a plate so I figured out how to get around that. Kinda wanted to mount it upside down but never took that chance. It was more fun making people think about it anyway. Congratulations.

My favorite was one I saw driving through Atlanta, the beauty, the simplicity: "CAR TAG"

it was on a urologist's car

I saw a plate that read "4SKINS," which I figured was a moile. Turns out it was a DC football fan. Wonder if he realized the alternative interpretation.

OK, I will admit I have 4 vanity tags: WANDA on our Winnebago (Wanda the wandering Winebago), RED2M (on my wife's car, a retired librarian), TANGELO on our tangelo pearl painted CJ7, and SPRAY on my SUV, for when I had a company named Spray Marine 20 years ago. Anyone else care to offer theirs up?

Here in VA they are really cheap, so there are a lot of them around--leads to things like "RED CRV" on a red CRV, which seems pointless. Recently I saw "F NADER" on a restored Corvair, which made me laugh. Also saw "6PK2GO" on a 'vette, but I'm guessing he gets pulled over a lot.

My wife's reads "RRRRUFF" (dog rescue volunteer). I've given up on them, but back in my ice climbing/mountain biking/habanero eating days, my ZJ used to be labeled "NDORFNZ."
