I need a wall cabinet for my few planes, scrapers, chisels etc, but I'm not ready to build a really nice one right now.

Does anybody have any ideas or have used something commercially made it repurposed? I don't mind doing some modifications.

I'm thinking about maybe a bathroom medicine cabinet or possibly one of the craftsman wall cabinets that go on sale around $100.

See if your local landfill has a "recycle" section, or see if your local Habitat chapter has a ReStore thrift store. Kitchen cabinets are all over the place, often dirt cheap (often free, if you make the right connections).

I do need to bounce over to the habit store. Haven't been for a few weeks.

I have repurposed book shelves. Even added a shelf and installed some drawers.

Barring that, how about rebated and nailed Borg pine?

Good idea. A small bookshelf on a French cleat would probably work well.
