I got the infeed and outfeed tables on my jointer (well used, new to me) co-planer, and started to tighten the locking bolt at the cams.

As soon as the first bolt bottomed out it began to push the circular cam cover off, away from the machine. It did nothing to lock the table in place.

I noticed that the locking bolt was nestled in a recess when I first started to true up the tables, and I had to remove the nuts to turn the cams.

Anyone know what's going on here? - if I keep the bolts in the "dedicated" recess I can't true the tables, far as I know.330867330868
