Years ago, when the long distance wars were going on, when they called, I would just tell them that I didn't need long distance since I didn't have a phone. My comment was always followed by a long pause, then usually they would just say OK and hang up.

One guy who called about a credit card, I just hollered at and asked if he was the guy having an affair with my wife. He couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I used to use their calls as a way to torture them, legally that is.
