This is a picture of a bookcase I built, for my daughter, a couple of years ago. Now my son has asked for one and I am more then happy to build it. Tell me what you think.

I have always found those old style stackable bookcases charming. Nice job.

Yeah, that is a great piece. Don't they call that a "barrister" type book case.

Corey - I believe that you are correct, they are refered to as a barrister design.
Bob - Nice work. This piece appears to be all one unit.

Yep, "Barrister", (or maybe Barristor  ) it is. When I was young EVERY Lawyer/Barrister had an office with several of them, all full of Law Books. I guess lawyers weren't so busy back then, and they didn't want the books to get all covered with dust between uses, :D , thus the Glass paned, pull out doors.
Very nice Bob. Whoever gets one of these from you will get a lot of use out of it over the years. I always liked those cases and made two of the stackable units for a fellow about 30 yrs ago. I wanted to make some for our house, but the LOML didn't seem too interested, so just never got around to it. .........Maybe some day yet........ ;)
