8.1 problems

I am having problems with windows 8.1 and rdworks.I had xp with no problems.
Now I am running windows 8.1 which is ok running rdworks,but as soon as I turn the laser on the computer
shuts down.If I leave the laser on ,it will just keep rebooting the pc.
Very frustrated at this point.Any body have any ideas.Im assuming I have something running it doesn't
like but don't where to look.I have the latest version of rdworks.

Sorry,I have it fixed.Apparently the machine doesn't like a usb3 port.Changed it to 2.0 and everythings fine
