I ordered the mobility base for the Rikon 10-325 (http://www.performancetoolcenter.com/rikon-13-325-mobility-base-for-model-10-325-bandsaw/?gclid=CLrq8qqavMoCFQEdaQodffACPA). It came today and I discovered (after the took the box to the dump) that the rear of the base of my saw doesn't have the necessary holes for the rear axle. Do you think I can just drill holes in the base for it?

Can't answer your question but I like the idea of a long handle as a lever to raise the unit off the floor. May have to rethink the mobile bases I have for my planer, DP, and soon to be mobile combo sander unit.

Thanks for the post!

I'd send an email or place a call to Rikon. Seems like there should be something more than just sheet metal holding the axle but, maybe not. I'd want to know before I drilled the area.

Thanks. I sent an email to Rikon yesterday afternoon and had a response this morning. That was nice. They sent me the information on both size and placement of the holes to drill.
