Hi!

I am in progressing of making an laser engraver/cutter.
Will use for engraving and cutting 3-4mm of acrylic sheets.

What is the recommended type of laser for this usage?

I have space for up to 135cm long tube on my build.

An 80 watt co2 tube should be more then sufficient what what you want to do. It will give you enough power to cut up 6 or 7 mm plywood and you'll still be able to engrave if you want to. Hope that helps

80w tubes are 1600mm long, I just have room for a 1350mm. Thats around an 60W tube.
Is there any special brand that I need to look after?
ERF or DC tubes?

Don't know where you got 1600mm from but you can get 80 watt tube for less.
Laser tube (80W): (Length=1225mm, Diameter=80mm)
Expected Life: 8000 hours
Laser Tube, 80 Watt, Reci or EFR Brand (101 Watts
