Well, two new, one 'new'. I've joined the neander ranks, with a nice new low angle block plane, a new #4 and a vintage #7. Plus I have a #5 type 17 or 18 coming as well. Think I'll go make some shavings!

Ned, you must be dreaming...'cause we can't see 'em!! No pictures...no planes. Nope. They just don't exist... :D (Congrats on the theoretical aquisition of your planes...)

oh yeah, forgot about the pic police...

I received my #5 today and as soon as the LOML gets home with the car, I'm going to trek over to the shop, gather them all up to take to work tonight. My partner there has a digital camera, and I'll get pics tonight.

my #5 is in beautiful shape, and even has the kidney shaped hole in the locking plate.
These things really do prefer to live in packs don't they? Sheesh, now I have to build a plane till, just when I was going to get the spinny thing in operation...

The Spinny thing? You are probably further down the slope than you realize, but not to worry there is plenty of company at the bottom.

Hey Ned,

When you build your plane till remember to keep some space for the 7's and 8's they do take up some room. I got one from steve knight a couple of months ago (razee) that's about 32" long. I'm still scratching my head.
Oh well, just part of the slippery slope.

Just have to convert part of your lumber storage capacity to hold that pup. I think I got one of those spinny things, but the handle at the end don't seem to want to get it spinnin fast enough to do any good.

Still waitin on my Steve Knight Coffin Smoother. I hope it works for crap cause I sure don't wanna be slidin down that woody slope. The metal one leaves rust on you britches, them woodies can give ya big splinters.:p
