Bypassing the Engagement bar on a Snowblower.

Yes, I know, it's there FOR A REASON!! The thing is, I physically can't work a snowblower with one of those blasted things on the machine. Is there a way to either bypass it, or can it be removed and still get the snowblower to work without it ? They used to have snow blowers YEARS AGO where the blades would spin as soon as the engine was started.

I'll get blasted..., but that what us old timers do!

How about a flip over catch from the handle to engage it, but easy to grab if need be to turn it off.
