I just finished this spalted filbert piece. Since it won’t hold soup it must be art which means it should go for big bucks. At least a ten point buck.

If you collect odd stuff or just stuff from odd turners don’t past this one by. I was really lucky this piece didn’t go to kindling wood heaven. It may be a long time before I get this lucky again.

Height 3 7/8".
Width 6 1/8".
Foot 1 ½".
Thickness varies from 1/8" to 0".
Weight 73grams.

Finish: Zinsser’s Seal Coat. Two coats witch’s brew(poly, BLO, naphtha). I will put on two coats of Rockler’s Gel Polyurethane before the auction ends.

It is not a burned, segmented, 3 legged buffalo with Southwestern motif but it will have to do for now. (Inside joke for our table at the AAW banquet. So don’t try to figure it out if you weren’t there.)

This piece is up for a Katrina relief benifit auction on an other forum. Email me if you want more details.
