I made a small box (10" width) with castor aralia.I like simple look and simple joinery. :p So I like miter. But the plain miter is not so strong joinery so I inserted
a small tip in the miter face.
It's a small tip but works well. It's useful also in dry assembly.

Thanks Jon and Dennis.
It's simple joinery. At first, I made normal miter and made triangle mortise on each taper face. Then insert samll square tip into the mortise.
BTW, how do you saw the taper of miter ?
Start from side or wide face ?
The lamber is 2" height and 1/2" thickness.
