Customer brought a pair of these yesterday wanting them to be engraved...
The red is actually a plastic cover, vinyl I presume, evident because there's 2 seams in it.
I explained I couldn't laser OR diamond etch thru the coating, but I could laser the top edge- worked great!
The reason for the alert, DON'T USE ALCOHOL anywhere near the cover, as it immediately removes the color!!
I found this out while wiping off the SS to prep it for cermark- and since cermark is mostly alcohol, be sure to
brush it on, or mask the covering if you spray it!
That's it! Nice mug otherwise! :)
