Happy Labor Day to all!
I have storage space in my garage; a large space with plywood floor just under some ceiling rafters in an unfinished garage. I am storing wood up there, lying flat with three of four boards stacked on top of each other.

My questions are: Do I need to sticker in between each board and below the bottom board? If so, what size stickers and how far apart do they need to be? Can they be of any material as long as they are the same thickness?

I live in California, the garage isn't heated or cooled.

Thanks!
Warren

If the wood is (workable) dry, you do not need to sticker, but I prefer to anyway to maintain airflow. I only use thin stickers in this case, however, to reduce the space premiun that stickering brings. If that space gets really, hot in the summer you may want to give second thought to storing good lumber up there...at least be sure the area is well ventilated so it doesn't become oven-like.

Thanks Jim. I appreciate the advice. It certainly gets hot in the garage during the summer, but it is hot anywhere in the garage where I would store it.
