It's been about a year since I had time to turn anything. It felt great to turn again. I thought I'd post some of the items I made. Nothing spectacular but still lots of fun. I hope you enjoy seeing some of these.

Very nice.

I am interested in learning what kind of woods you are showing.

Very nice work. How did you spiral the bowl bottom? What finish are you using? Interested on how you will complete the walnut. Nice work.

Sorry I should have included species. Ambrosia Maple, Sycamore, Cherry and Walnut.
Walnut tree was cut down in front of my office, so I grabbed a crotch piece just because. I will finish turning it today. Pretty much just letting it be what it wants to.
The maple platter is finished with satin spray lacquer and the bowls are just mineral oil and beeswax.
Thanks for looking.
oh yeah, the spiral is made with a Sorby spiral cutting tool.

The bottom on the sycamore is a nice touch. I bet it was fun signing it with all those spirals! I can just imagine how it would grab the tip of your burner and make the tip go off in an unplanned direction.
