I was asked to make one of these for a friends son who's father passed; He's in to anything Viking so his mother ask if I could come up w/ something he could put hi fathers remains in; He only got part of the remains so it didn't have to be very big, it's just over 10" long and can hold about a snack size baggie of ash. The siblings each got a bag of ash.
Its made from African Mahogany and was all hand shaped except the opening that was three holes drilled then cut into one compartment w/ chisels. The finish is Deft sanding sealer then clear gloss from a rattle can.
