Got an email from Grizly this morning on this guy. Looks interesting. Anyone seen this or have one?

What do you think? I have a track saw (EurekaZone system) but this one may have a place in my tool arsenal.

I have one made by Makita (paid a heck of a lot more than $59) always used it as a panel saw. Ran into a lot of flood restoration work and home owners wanted mahogany paneling replaced.

Using a regular 7 ½ saw to cut paneling was a chore this saw made it a breeze.

My wife calls it a “girly saw” and now uses this saw more than I do.

Does the Griz have longer tracks than the 24" listed?

Amazing price. But a track that is only 24" would be an issue for most anything I'd do with it.

They have an accessory kit that includes a track connector and two clamps. They do not have a track longer than 24".

I don't think that price includes a track.

The $89 price does not include a track. Track and accessories are extra. For ~$130 you can get the saw, two sections of track and the accessory pack.

I have the regular sized Grizzly Track saw, and complained to them about the lack of a shorter rail for it, and they found it on their site. But you had to know the model number of it to find it, and their search engine would not locate it. From this, I would wonder if they have a longer rail, but it does not show up on their site, and an email to them might locate one.

That said, I am happy with the full sized saw, but do not have the minisaw.

I can't see where that would be preferable to a "regular" sized track saw. There's almost no situation where I could see the smaller size being an advantage. I can, though, see the small size being a negative in many instances.

I bought one when they first came out (impulse purchase). The first time I went to use it about five months ago I discovered that the bottom where the blade extends through the base was cast improperly and the blade could not be plunged. Grizzly repleced it under warranty and I have not tried using again. Grizzly does make a larger track saw but that rack will not fit this saw.

One concern is that I have not been able to find any quality 4 1/2" saw blades to fit. Can't comment on the blades that come with it but I would not expect much

Cant see any reason to buy something like this other than to go as cheap as possible which I never recommend. Save your money and buy a nicer, more standard unit.

Any chance it uses the same track as on the larger T10687 track saw? Looks the same but no dimensions are given.

How about cost?

I have the Porter Cable 314 saw with a 48" plywood track I made. It does not plunge, but I've had the saw for years. I don't use it often.
It's a good saw for working with window shutters and such. I like it for cutting plywood sheets. The larger 7 1/2" saw is scary to use in the shop.

I also have a 7 1/2" Cable Saw with 48" plywood track. I have a carbide blade for it that gives furniture quality cuts.

It works great for cutting entrance and passage doors to length.
