One of the members of our turning club was asked to make a jewelry box for a lady but he did not have the time. I used the paradise box plans from Vectric to make the box and engraved the lady’s granddaughters name on the lid. The wood is maple with a lacquer finish.

The other project is for a gentleman who wanted a Cajun scene on a piece of cypress board. The scene had so much detail, I did not know how it was going to come out. I used coffee grounds to fill in the engraving, sanded smooth and put a spray lacquer finish on it. It came out very nice.

Nicely done bobby, the organic style of the box and wood used is very appealing.the cnc carving on the lid sets it off.i will try coffee grounds on my laser etchings, not sure how to apply them, but will experiment.
