One of the members of our turning club was asked to make a jewelry box for a lady but he did not have the time. I used the paradise box plans from Vectric to make the box and engraved the lady’s granddaughters name on the lid. The wood is maple with a lacquer finish.
The other project is for a gentleman who wanted a Cajun scene on a piece of cypress board. The scene had so much detail, I did not know how it was going to come out. I used coffee grounds to fill in the engraving, sanded smooth and put a spray lacquer finish on it. It came out very nice.
