Hardware Pull question

We bought this cabinet off Craig's List and the door pulls look bent. Upon closer inspection, the left and right pulls look like they're bent to the same angle, but one is bent to the right, the other is bent left. It almost looks intentional. I wanted to straighten them out, but now I'm not sure. Has anyone seen knobs like these before? (I want to post photos but there isn't a button to do that here. I'll post them Tuesday if I don't get resolution sooner.)

Try turning them so they are hanging down and see if you like them better.

I like them fine. It's my wife who has the issue. Maybe if I turn her sideways?! :D

Is it some kind of ergonometric thing? Are they easier to grab at a particular angle on installation? One on each door pointing the way to pull the door open? Pointed up? Did you really think you and your wife are going to agree on pull design?
