Anyone using Linux to do the Design and Cam?
We have a 4'x8' cnc router in Kre8Now (makerspace) woodshop. Everyone is using Windows, but I only have Linux.
Thanks

From what I been told there is no software to do CAD or Cam that will work in Linux, they are all windows based.

There's a fair bit of open source stuff which runs in Linux. List on the Shapeoko wiki and also a wikipedia page. Of especial note is http://brlcad.org/ which is used by the U.S. Army.

Commercial CAD/CAM software for Linux:

Draftsight from Dassault is available for linux

You could check into using something like playonlinux to run windows packages. I have no experience with it - it sounds like if a package is rated gold or platinum in WineHQ it might be worth a shot. Hardware drivers? That's another issue and up to the hardware manufacturers.
