How to Solve: A catch in my saw cover....

I have the Dewalt 7491RS table saw.

I cut small pieces on my table saw. When I first bought it this problem never happened, but now recently I get the edge caught on the lip of the saw cover. Photos show a slight dip over the plate.

Anyone else have this problem? Can I shim it up somehow?

I do have the zero clearance cover coming on Monday.

Is it possible that something is underneath? Some sawdust? Try pulling it, cleaning it well, then reinstalling.

Turn the screws to the right to raise the plate, to the left to lower.

What Eric said. The instructions on how to do this are on page 5 of the particular version of the owner's manual I looked at.
