Hve just cleaned up a Bodmann saw set that has been waiting in the 'queue'. A boatbuilder mate has a similar tool and we are both in the dark re their use. An internet search has not turned up any wisdom, so any pearls from the forum would be most appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation.

After a little searching the only thing that looks anything like it is on ebay Australia, eBay item number:161745664908

I was looking at saw wrests, but that seems to be a different animal.

A saw set tool is made to bend a small piece of metal. Without more images of your tool I can not determine how it is done.

Everything I find on Google tends to lead to a German origin.

It is also not clear if this is for a carpenters saw or a large tree cutting saw.

Thanks Jim. I had seen the item on ebay. There was also a Butcher's saw (NZ) listed by the same maker.
A bit of a mystery!

I was in a hurry earlier and didn't get a chance to track down this site:

I know nothing about this site, it is just another interesting attraction on the side of the road while driving on the world wide internet.
