Anybody have a Jet JWBS14SF - the 1.75 or 3HP versions? Any thoughts, gripes, suggestions? There are few reviews by actual users on this bandsaw out there, and I'm considering buying probably the 3HP.

Buehler? Anybody? Not encouraging that nobody has anything to say about these bandsaws.

It's still a 14". I can't see any need at all for a 3 hp motor on a 14" saw. Blade speed won't be enough to use that much hp for any sort of feed rate advantage. I have a 1-1/2 hp on a 14", and a 4 hp on a 24". Neither motor ever gets warm even when running them all day long.

Mine is a JWBS-14CS, 1.0 hp. I've had it for around ten years. Does fine resawing 6 inch Maple or Walnut. If you decide to add riser extension you might consider the larger motor.

Hammer is having their last day of up to 35% off on their N3800 and N4400... MUCH better products and not much more expensive. LINK (http://us.feldershop.com/?cl=details&anid=68ed7c32e3f0019612517c5355e80d26) and LINK (http://us.feldershop.com/?cl=details&anid=84fe01cb4380a4ee1b80e882104f0832)
