Hi. I'm new to the forum and already learned alot just reading back posts. Right now I'm fixing up an old (1920's) bandsaw and need a source for 16"by1" thick rubber bandsaw tires. I'm aasuming I cant use the stretch Urethene tires that I can find anywhere. The wheel is flat, with no lip. The original tires were obviously glued on. Any help? Thanks

I've got an old 20" that way. No lip. Tires are glued on. Got mine at Skates Belting and Supply in K.C. Mo. Do not have the number handy.

Hartville Tool has some. Just ordered some urethane 14" for another saw.
They have a web site.

I would probably call Louis Iturra at Iturra Design - (888) 722-7078. He is a mail order house out of Jacksonville, Florida, who is quite knowledgable, and have very fair pricing on manner of bandsaw things, including blades.

I second Alan's suggestion about Louis. While your at it, request one of his catalogs. It is more like a tutorial on band saws, the history, why and how things work, all the new "goodies" out for bandsaws, etc.

And no, they do not have a web site.
