Hitachi planer { BROKEN !!! }

I inadvertantly broke the cast iron feed table of my planer. It is a Hitachi model F1000A 115 V 12" planer w/a 6" jointer. Some cast iron can be welded. You should be able to take it or send it to an outfit who can weld it and re-grind the surface, if required.

Seller is asking $1,000, which is a bit on the high side.
