I am into a project using the MLCS mitered face frame bits. For the door frames, 2 1/2" stock, they sell circular biscuits for the mitered corners. For the drawers which is 1 1/2" stock Ed McEwon (SMC member) used a Ryobi Detail Biscuit jointer for his. I did not want to buy one, only available on eBay since it has been discontinued, so I called MLCS and their suggestion was to use PC face frame biscuits. So I built this jig to hold them while cutting the biscuit slots. I made it so it could accommodate up to 2 1/2" stock.

Here is a pic of what I made.

UPDATE: Just glued up the proto-type drawer front and it glued up great. FF biscuits work fine for this purpose. The reason for making the jig is to ensure you do not blow out the edges with the biscuit slots.
