I'm building some doors. My router is chipping on the edges. The bit is a Freud door set and is new. This seems to happen regardless of the grain direction. Any suggestions would certainly be welcome.

If you can see light shining off the sharpened edges of the bit, it's dull.
How dry is the wood?

I have experienced the same issue. Sometimes taking a light first cut or feeding slower works. Marc Sommerfeld has new design rail and stile bits that slightly round the edge and he claims that eliminates the issue. The next time I have rails and stiles to make I am going to try a small round over before I run the stile profiles.

The bit is sharp with no glint. I have had the wood for sometime, so it is dry.

I'd try climb cutting with lighter passes to see if it would eliminate the chipping.

The example shows no real problem with grain direction if I am seeing it correctly. You also state that this happens regardless of direction so I would try one or all of the following:
1. Score the edge with a knife or marking wheel.
2. Take a light first pass at 1/32" to 1/16".
3. Step through 1/8" deep passes to achieve full depth.

I went back and cut them in 3 passes with a light first pass and that worked. I'll try scoring next time.
