Lowes laminate clearance

Local Lowes stores will no longer carry the formica sheet laminate and is offering deep discounts on remaining inventory. Yesterday, I got a 4 x 8 sheet with slight edge damage for 6 bucks. It will be the surface of a new router table top. The first store had already cleared their inventory but one nearby had multiple sheets left. The sales associate said they experienced too much damage by customers handling the sheets.
