What is your opinion of this add-on to the Kreg Pocket Hole system? Does it really expand the use of this joinery technique?

I have used the standard Pocket Hole Jig to join 1/2" BB play for drawer boxes with 1" pan head screws and it has worked satisfactorily but maybe this new approach with smaller diameter screws is a better choice?

Thanks.

I have used it to make drawers with 1/2" plywood. You have to be very careful on the depth of the holes and not over driving the screws. With care, it works well.

Agree with Larry but will also note that the pocket length is shorter and easier to hide the hole on narrower components.

Did you use the recommended 3/4" screws ?

Me?
Always use the recommended screws for typical situations, even so there have been times when I've poked through with too much oomph on the driver or the hole being just a tad too deep, especially with plywoods.
