Can anyone give me a lead on where to puchase two Stanley "V" Logo plane irons for a #607 and one for a #608? I have unsuccessfully tried most of the usual sources ie Ebay.
Thanks
Mark

Mark,

If you watch Ebay long enough, sooner or later they will almost certainly show up. As you know there are a lot more irons around for the 7s than for the 8s.

There are a few places.

Have you tried Patrick Leach or Bob Kaune?

If all else fails, I have the new Lee Valley iron and breaker in my 607 plane.

I recommend it.

Yes I agree the LV iron and breaker are great, I was just trying to get the planes all back to original. :)

Mark, Last time I was looking for a specific blade I ended up buying a user Bailey and a user Transitional for some near new blades. I just scanned the photos on ePay till I found a planes with the blades I wanted.

Not sure about the specifics for you 607 and 608 restoration.

Thanks Kevin for the input, hopefully I won't have to buy a whole plane.
Patrick I contacted Josh and he doesn't have any at this time.
