Some time back I had posted asking about eccentric clamps (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?235970-Eccentric-Lever-Clamp) and David Hawxhurst (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/member.php?39719-David-Hawxhurst) (thank you David) kindly pointed me towards the Felder Shop web-site (http://us.feldershop.com/en-US/en-US/en-US/en-US/Sawing/Accessories/Spann-und-Klemm-einrichtungen/Eccentric-clamp.html?listtype=search&searchparam=clamp) (could not locate these on the Felder US web-site) where they had the clamps listed. They went "on sale" a few weeks ago and I purchased two of the clamps to use with my Knapp shaper. I also purchased the blocks and mounts which was a good thing. The Knapp is typically built heavier than the other Euro machines, but this was one area the Felder had chosen a heavier (M20) connection than Knapp (M16). Plus the track blocks proved to be about 1.25mm too thick. A quick trip to CT Saw got the blocks milled down to fit my tracks (while I waited - "thank you" CT Saw!) and the eccentric clamps work beautifully. The idea for the clamps came from a post in which Erik Loza shared some great photos (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?198237-Sliding-Table-Shapers) of similar setups. And the recommendation(s) David Kumm provided in that same post gave me some good ideas on setup and safety. In fact, using the shaper in place of the tablesaw (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?236775-Best-Approach-for-Cope-and-Stick-for-Glass-Frames) came as responses to a request for solution alternatives from the Sawmill Creek Community (JR, Martin and Justin). A quick telephone call to someone else I had met through SMC (Peter Quinn) confirmed the approach I had chosen passed the "expert litmus test." Really proves how much this community can help with sharing of ideas and learning about alternative solutions. Thanks everyone!

Nice Bill. I had the same experience with the Felder T nuts but just held them to a disk sander to make fit. People need to pay attention to the thickness of the lip on their table extrusions as the clamps can put a huge pressure on them. If I were running a thinner extrusion than what is on Knapp, I would want a larger area on the top plate to compensate and spread the load. Dave

Looks like a great set up Bill, that's my favorite way to make tenons. Glad to see you have the off set shoulders issue handled. I like the clamps, our slider has only a single clamp built into the table, two points of contact are far more reassuring!
