That is a full length handsaw sitting in there. White Oak floor the rest is just Pine. Store bought 1 x 6 x 8' and a 1x 6 x 3' for the handle

sides are cut at a 22-1/2 degree angle. 1/2" dovetails were handsawn. 7/8" Forstner bit to make the finger grip hole. Bottom is beveled to fit, then nailed in place, no glue. One coat of BLO for a finish.

made use of this box over the weekend. Had a project to finish up at my Daughter's place. Loaded the tote up with:
1 handsaw
3 cordless drills
3 large chisels
1 drawknife
1 tape measure
1 square
1 large c clamp
1 brace and bit
1 box of screws
1 claw hammer
1 Push drill
1 lARGE rasp
1 Block plane, and a couple drill bits.

Carried the tote to the van, and then unloaded in her garage. Mostly, I worked from the tote. Still was able to one-handed carry this tote around. Just now starting to put things away, after I got back home.

I think I can find some use for this box....

How's your back doing?

Looks good Steven. Reminds me of the tote Roy Underhill carries around at the beginning of his show!

Back is now doing OK. Meds have worked. About the only "Cure" would be surgery. Been trying to stay away from that. Rehabbed the back enough to get it working again.

Thanks. I think mine is just a little big longer than Roy's. I wanted one that a full sized saw could fit into...
