Here's a nice little box i made its a bit experimental. But i think it still came out ok.This was the last of my best teak i have been saving and avoiding.
After a summer with nothing but Hickory in my shop I'm ready for something different.
Give me pallet wood to work anythings got to be better than Hickory.

Very nice. I like the shape. And the craftsmanship is superb.

That is handsome ,has a real seriousness to it. And the dovetails make it a sort of puzzle box. Thought for a moment about how to go about them...made my head hurt

I love hickory, at least I love how it looks. I'm tempted to send you some Osage Orange thinking that might make the hickory seem almost workable. :) I like the box, especially what I perceive to be afive piece lid. Did you use simple half-laps? and is the panel floating?

Thanks Joe,I actually like hickory also I just have had my fill with it.Inwas fortunate I get some very nice stock this past summer.I just have had my fill,And no thanks on the Osage Orange. That stuff is not fun and I think I was slightly sensitive to the dust.
The box does have a floating panel on the lid.And the top is dovetailed. It should last a long time even after the glue fails. But who knows.

I think it has an asian look to it. Nice work, it's a beautiful box.
