What are good places to sell your work?

Anyone know of good places to sell projects I make? Like a consignment shop or something like that?

I checked at an art consignment shop in this area. They wanted 50% of the selling price. When I figured what I wanted out of the project, and doubled it, no one would buy it at that price.

I don't know where you are located. What works really well is word of mouth! I started as a hobbyist and things just seemed to "blossom" from there. Keep making stuff and perhaps give an occasional item as a gift/prize?
Forget the website stuff and keep plugging on. People will gravitate to your items if they think it is well made and a fair price. DON'T sell your stuff short just to move them!!!!
