Here is a #4 Bailey that came to me as a rust bucket plane, no iron, no breaker, no japan, and broken tote. I double bagged it and hit with "Blaster Penetrating Catalyst. I cut the broken section of the tote out and glued in a piece of cherry. Rustoleum black sheen took care of the japaning, A hock iron and a Clifton breaker have me in business. I believe it is a type 9 plane 1901-1902.

The rust showing in the picture doesn't show on the plane. I can't explain it.

Nice looking restoration.

Sometimes cameras interpret light and shadow differently than the human eye, or at least that's what I've heard.

Very nice Lowell It must be a fast one with a racing stripe and a Hock iron under the hood.
