View Full Version : Get Water out of a Glass Laser Tube?

So I find myself with a spare laser tube after my recent experiences, the manufacturer appears to have tested it and there is water still in it.
I want to store the tube since I have a good tube working right now already in the machine. What's the best way to get rid of the water left inside the tube so it doesn't mildew?

Tilt it and a wet vac.

Throw some alcohol in it, remove, repeat once or twice. What's left will evaporate fairly quickly, if left open.

Worried about breaking the inner coils, they seem fairly fragile. Is this a concern?

Good idea. Thanks!

They do get test fired and strain tested at EFR Keith so water drops in a new tube isn't unusual :)
