Does anyone know what one would thin GF Orange Oil with? I want to atomize it in a hand sprayer (trigger lever type). This is not for use as a finish.

Glenn, the SDS for that product says the active ingredient is d-limonene. This is what Wikapedia has to say about d-limonene. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limonene Over at the right margin the properties are listed. It should be soluble in alcohol, as well as some other solvents I wouldn't use.

maybe a citrus solvent.

Orange oil does indeed contain limonene. ethanol is not the best choice, mineral spirits is better. Both are hydrocarbons.

The thing is, orange oil has high volatility and low viscosity as it is. The best thing to thin orange oil with is just more orange oil.

does your sprayer atomize it pure?

Thanks all. I'll give it a try as is and report back if thinning is still an issue ;-)
