Hello, looking for inserts or instructions how to make my own. My Transpower table saw is about 10 years old.

Do you have the original insert? If so that's your pattern for new inserts. Web has many videos and threads on making inserts. Best book I have ever used is Bill Hylton's "Router Magic."

Don't know if this will help, but I have an old insert that may have come from an Enlon, or a Jet cabinet saw. Not even sure where I got it, but it is slightly bigger than the one for my Unisaw. Give me your measurements, and I will see if it looks right. It is painted silver, if that helps.

If so, it's yours.

Sorry David,

Mine is 3 3/4 X 13 3/8. It almost fits a Unisaw, but is just a bit big all around. I would still like to know what it fits. I don't have the heart to throw it away, as it is probably hard to find.

Fasten a piece of 1/2" BB or MDF to saw top, using double sided tape. From the underside, trace outline of saw throat to BB / MDF. Use fence to align edges as this will make it easier to saw out sides. Cut and sand to the line. I make mine slightly undersized, and put a couple of set screws in rounded part of the edges. They are located about 60 degrees off center line of length. Adjusting them snugs plate up both length and side wise.

No problem, I have a woodshop full of tools...I might as
well use them 🙂
