Found this in my woodpile today....purchased it probably 20+ years ago and forgot about it. The sticker says Red Cordia but I can't seem to find any info on it searching the internet. I was thinking of cutting it into strips and making a few "bowl from a board" with it but I'm not sure it would be good for turning. It's very dense and heavy. It's about 3/4" x 7" x 5' (I have cut off about a foot to try it in a bowl from a board). You can see the strips in the blank I have ready to cut into rings and turn. Thought I would see if anyone here has ever used it and how it is for turning before I cut it up. Thanks.....

here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordia_sebestena

I found reference to it and that's supposedly the scientific name for it.
