I've been searching for an adapter to connect 2.5" dust hose to the Felder/Hammer's saw guard. I wanted something that does not reduce the inner diameter of the guard's dust port (OD 50 mm, a bit less than that for ID). Yesterday, while cleaning the shop, I found an extra piece of this (https://www.google.com/search?q=ridgid+universal+power+tool+adaptor&espv=2&biw=1426&bih=1425&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAmoVChMI_OuJivzOyAIVVS-ICh3VMgge&dpr=1) (2.5" universal power tool adaptor). After some measuring, I took a hack saw to it and cut off the three smaller sections, leaving the largest one. It has 50 mm OD and the ID is just a bit smaller than the guard's (after shaving off a inner ridge left after the hack saw operation with a razor blade). The 2.5" dust hose slips over the back end for a perfect fit. Some careful duct taping and voila! It's light so doesn't stress out the guard-to-riving-knife bolt too much and fits just right. Thought I would share.
