Anyone know of a source for kiln dried timbers or square stock? I'm looking for 6x6, 4x4 and other large dimensional lumber that I can use for a bed project....sounds simple enough, I know but having a hard time.
Barn wood would work, as I want them rough sawn but anytime the label 'barn wood' is on a piece it seems to make the price increase significantly.

Appreciate the help, I'm in the Portland, OR metro area but not opposed to having it shipped from good supplier.

Gotta be something near you, but as last resort...

Try www.cypresswood.net (http://www.cypresswood.net) (used to be Specialty Lumber), located in Maringouin, LA (I know, its a lonnnng way to OR). I got 10x10 rough cypress (not KD), but I think they can provide smaller sizes as KD. They were great to work with.

I bet Jim Koepke can help you. You might post in the neanderthal group.

Get a hold of the Oregon Woodworkers Guild: http://www.guildoforegonwoodworkers.com/ They can get you with someone local. Great bunch of guys with national recognition
