Hi All,

I have a client asking if I can source and a material suitable for multi rotor craft, for those that do not know multi rotors are radio controlled drones that use 3-12 engines and require thin strong light weight sheets for their construction, the designs usually has one lower layer and an upper layer of composite material separated by spacers, normally 2-3mm Carbon sheet or Fibreglass epoxy sheet (G10) is used

I need to find out if there is a material out there that has the below qualities or close to:

Structural strength close to our greater than G10 (Fibreglass Epoxy Resin Sheet)
Weight close to or less than the same
Able to be cut using a CO2 laser

Any Thoughts?

Jack

Delrin has been used for this purpose.

Thank you Rich, found a supplier now for Delrin (acetal) that sells it in specified cut sheets, not cheap but will give me something to quote from.
