I see that the software lasercut 5.3 accepts Tajima .dst files which is interesting as I do a lot of embroidery using this file type. What would be the application within the lasercut software?
I've been reading at length and with interest the threads (no pun intended) on embroidery uses and I'll be making use of the laser to have a go at appliqué which I'm currently cutting by hand which isn't that cost effective. Also the use of the laser cuttable twill materials - looks good for badge making.
i also do a fair number of embroidered badges which are hand cut and heat sealed after finishing stitches are applied so if I could find a way of doing that with the laser after embroidery I'd be a happy chap. Wondering how it could be aligned correctly? Hopefully someone has done that and will know (might have something to do with the lasercut 5.3 acceptance of .dst files - interesting!
