Found a picture in my drawer this morning and thought it might look good in a frame. I was looking for some garbage scraps and came across Cherry and Maple. I made the frame from planed and sanded Cherry and the plugs from hand cut, precision cut, Maple. Not sure the picture is worth it but it looks ok to ME :-)

Of course, if I had put my hands on some pine and poplar (well, you'll understand why that wouldnt have been good enough).

Thanks for looking.

I hope you used Minwax polyurethane to finish it. ;)

I made a frame similar to that several years ago out of native Texas woods. It was presented to the Texas State Comptroller - Carol Keetan/Rylander/Strahorn/???.... whater her last name is this week.

Rob,

Nice job. I really like the design. Unusual, yet pleasing to the eye.
