I like your lamp, but I don't like the base (bottom plate). Do you really need it? IMO it's too big and detracts from the smooth curve of the lamp. It looks like the bottom of the lamp is big enough to be stable as is.

Lamp body is 3 " diameter. It would be knocked over soon enough around my house. Then add the height of a lamp shade. It may well be wider than needed.
