Today we finished a Nimbus 2000 that I was helping a neighbor make. This is the first one, we are also making the Nimbus 2001 which is all black with a chrome band and foot rests and the Fireball. Then we will finish the collection with the regular broom.

I think Kevin is happy with it, I couldn't keep his feet on the ground.

Thanks for looking.

Great job Dick! What a novel idea for a turning project. I really like the way you have the DVR in the background in all the pictures!

Outstanding Professor Parr, outstanding!!! Now you can add Nimbus 2000's to your line of magic wands to sell in November when the next Harry Potter movie comes out. Hope you are having fun and tell Kevin that he needs to go to Hogwarts for flying lessons!!! :p ;) :D

The young man certainly looks please. I hope you will talke just a little time out to be pleased with yourself. You never know how some some things we think of being insignificant (sp) means so much to others that can carry on in there life time.. Good job my friend

Thanks everyone, the next one I bought a 1-1/4" dowel to use instead of turning it.

We had fun.

Not only a great turning but a wonderful story. It is nice to see the "human" side and the effect it has on others. When I scrolled down and saw the last picture of Kevin "flying" it made my day !

Awesome work Dick. I've made wands too but never gave much thought to trying a broom. Who knows?

Great Job, Dick!

Between that and your "Magic" wands - you'll sure keep the Harry Potter crowd happy!

Great job and great idea!
