I assume this is a comedy spoof, but people have become so crazy I can see where there could be some reality to this.

"This is That" (the creators of the piece) is a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio comedy show. Their humour is usually in this vein - ie, a really silly subject presented in a really serious manner. I wasn't aware that they did videos, aside from their radio show.
