Hello all, I have had my 110/240v to 48V stepper motor power supply fail on my LC6090 machine. Has anyone sourced a North American replacement part for this problem? Communications with the manufacturer are slow and unclear.
I am not sure of the amperage required, I did locate this unit (http://www.circuitspecialists.com/hf300w-s-48.html) which looks very close with the 9 connector spots, but how do I compare the specs? Thanks in advance.

If you are not sure of the amps necessary then buy one with more rather than less. It doesn't mean it will overpower the steppers, it's just how much current is available. The one you linked is 6.3 amps and my guess is that you'll need more than that for your machine. The one I drove my cnc router with was 12 amps. Check prices, that one seems a bit high.

With help from Facebook group Laser Engraving and Cutting, replacement has been purchased. It was a 10 amp unit purchased thru AliExpress, http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Best-quality-48V-10A-480W-Switching-Power-Supply-Driver-for-LED-Strip-AC-100-240V-Input/32316901248.html?ws_ab_test=201526_1%2C201527_2_71 _72_73_74_75%2C201409_1 for those interested.
