Door Project Advice

I need to replace some interior doors thanks to my dog. The house is a 1940's era with Douglas fir 4 and 6 panel doors. They may be pine but due to the era and usage I figured Douglas fir. I have tried finding replacements new or used with no luck. My next option is to attempt to build them. Any suggestions on what to do or not do would be greatly appreciated. I'm also look for suggestions on router bits. I don't have a shaper and besides this project don't really need one. I do have a Porter Cable 5819 that should be able to swing the bits. That leads to the next question; suggestions on any particular brand of bits to use or stay away from. Are Summerfeld bits any good?
